Gas and Power Strategy Group

 Gas is not only becoming a source of great value but also of pride. The gas experience in Egypt has proved to be a major breakthrough, whereby Egypt’s strategy stood on a balanced portfolio between total demand and exports. Thus, this sector represents a great opportunity for Egypt to enhance its GDP growth rapidly and integrate in the global economy. In this context, the Forum is committed to engage with this sector and work with its officials, the private sector locally, regionally and globally through the establishment of this strategy group to support development of the gas industry.

 Objectives
-  The Strategy Group will work towards enhancing Egypt’s role in the global oil and gas market.

-  Special events shall be arranged to promote exploration, innovation, increased production and mutually beneficial partnerships.

-  Develop new strategies to expand gas utilization in the local markets and industrial facilities.

Strategy Group Work Plan
-  Participate in the preparations of the Forum's annual Egypt Gas Conference.

-  Raise awareness on the importance of embracing the most up-to-date technology.

-  Organize and coordinate with other institutions in Egypt and abroad to host related events exploring the state and future of the industry in Egypt and globally.

 Governance
-  The Group has a chairman and a vice-chairman.

-  The Group will hold a minimum of one meeting per month, and is reporting to the Forum's Executive Board. The Group may hold more than one meeting when necessary.
