Health Strategy Group

The Forum's recognition of the potential impact of public health crises on Egypt's economic development, has resolved it to establish this Strategy Group.

Objectives
-  The Strategy Group will work towards establishing a point of contact and forum for dialogue with the Egyptian government on healthcare issues and pharmaceutical industry in Egypt.

-  Provide leadership and proactive measures in creating better business environment for direct foreign investment in the pharmaceutical field.

-  Special events shall be arranged to open channels of dialogue addressing critical issues of health care and social security.
 

Strategy Group Work Plan

 -  Prepare position papers clarifying the highest standards of ethics in pharmaceutical marketing in Egypt.

-  Initiate community services programs and projects aiming at making Egypt a better place to work and live.

-  Promote better intellectual property environment and proper enforcement.

-  Organize and coordinate with other institutions in Egypt and abroad to host related events for addressing health issues.

 Governance
 -  The Group has a chairman and a vice-chairman.

-  The Group will hold a minimum of one meeting per month, and is reporting to the Forum's Executive Board. The Group may hold more than one meeting when necessary.
