The
Arab Financial Forum, jointly organized by the Forum and Euromoney
Institutional Investors was a great success; despite the fact that the
attacks on the US took place on the day of the conference’s opening. |

his opening remarks Mr. M. Shafik Gabr emphasized on the Arab World
Commitment towards the development of the ICT while Dr. Ahmed Nasif,
Egyptian Minister of ICT and the Honorable Tom Davis, Chairman, Government
Reform Subcommittee on IT & Procurement Policy at the US Congress are

None of the sessions were cancelled, and although the turnout the second day
was significantly less than on the first, participants commended the
organization of the conference and the informative workshops and sessions.

conference bought together participants from the region and all over the
world, focusing the first day on the economies of the
region as a whole, and that of Egypt for the rest of the conference’s
