Following the success of its first conference on IT and telecommunications the Forum held its second conference in May 2002. The agenda of topics was diversified and included: Media and Information Technology, e-marketing, competition in the digital economy and bridging the digital divide, e-government, as well as the role of education in bridging the digital divide.

The conference was inaugurated by HE Dr. Atef Ebeid, Egyptian Prime Minister, and witnessed the participation and attendance of a lot of distinguished ministers and top government officials from Egypt and other Arab countries, as well as plenty of leading IT and Telecom specialists and businessmen from all over the world
