Mr. Galal
EI-Zorba is a member of the Executive Board of Egypt’s International
Economic Forum. He has worked in the cotton export business in Egypt from
1965 to 1968. He then moved to work in the financial side of the insurance
business for three years in Libya. In 1971, Mr. EI-Zorba founded and managed
a business of manufacturing ready-made garments in the Far East for
distribution in the USA, Europe and Japan, getting a first hand look at the
development of trade in these areas. As of 1985, he set up an export
production base in Egypt employing over 6000 and over LE 200 million in
exports.
Mr.
EI-Zorba is the Chairman of the Egyptian Exporters Association, Vice
Chairman of the Egyptian Center for Economic Studies, and a Board Member of
the Egyptian Kuwait Holding Company and the Egypt Clothing Company. Mr.
EI-Zorba is also a member of the Egypt-US Business Council, a member of the
Egyptian Businessmen’s Association and many other business related
organizations.
Mr. EI-Zorba is married and has two sons. He holds a
B.Sc. degree in Business from the University of Alexandria.
