October 1998, the Egyptian economy has witnessed a number of strains that have
left a sense of depression. This session examined the opinions of young
leaders as to how this cycle can be broken. What have we learnt from our

The
Forum hosted Mahmoud Aboul Eyoun, Governor of the Central
Bank of Egypt, who discussed how the Egyptian monetary system can be
developed. The session took the form of a discussion, with interactive
debate taking place between members of the Forum and the Governor.
