Dr. Taher Helmy is a member of the Executive Board of
Egypt’s International Economic Forum, and is a partner of the international
law firm of Baker & McKenzie. Dr. Helmy has been practicing law since 1974
and is licensed to practice in the U.S., Saudi Arabia and Egypt. He is the
first Arab ever to be admitted before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Dr. Helmy is a former member of the Egyptian-U.S.
Presidents’ Council and Founder and Chairman of the Egyptian Center for
Economic Studies. He is a former Vice-President and a current member of the
American Chamber of Commerce, and a founder of the British Egyptian
Businessmen’s Association. Dr. Helmy is founder and board member of various
charities and organizations. Dr. Helmy received his B.A. in 1971 and his
J.D. in 1974 from St. Louis University, U.S.A.
